Apply Makeup Tricks #1

Just some great tricks I came across from

different makeup artists.

.:End Eye Shadow Creases:.

Apply translucent powder under a powder

shadow or over a cream-based one to keep

lids smooth. It helps set the shadow so the

color will last longer without collecting in

the middle of your eyelid.

.:Quick Radiance Trick:.

Before applying foundation, apply a shimmering

moisturizer. Your skin will look luminous even

through the makeup. so you'll get the coverage

you need without sacrificing a glowing complexion.

.:Banish Under-Eye Circles:.

To conceal dark under-eye circles, look at

them closely to see what color they are to

choose the cover-up that'll hide them best.

If they have a gray cast, apply a soft pink eye

shadow to the area, and if they look more blue,

use a light peach color instead.

.:Get Perfectly Lined Eyes:.

Putting eye liner in the freezer for about 5-10

minutes before sharpening it gets you a

precise line. The cold hardens eye liner and

keeps it from breaking as you apply it.

How To Apply A Makeup Makeover 2

You'll notice the results even if you

don't care about the technology behind all

that scientific-sounding stuff in your beauty

products.

Swap out-of-date makeup for new products.

Save time and money with new twists on

the basic products you use everyday.

Foundation: Toss heavy foundation with

a matte finish.

Replace with a light weight formaula with

light reflectors.

WHY: It will make you look younger because

it won't settle in lines. It's also less likely

to streak, but still gives enough coverage

to hide a blemish or sunspot.

Mascara: Toss thick mascara that leaves

clumps.

Replace with formulas that lengthen lashes.

WHY: Special Proteins help separate lashes,

so you won't need to comb out clumps or

worry about smudges. Only one coat is

needed to make lashes look longer.

Blush: Toss regular powder blush.

Replace with blush sheets.

WHY: No mirror or brush required, and the

packets slips right into your purse.

Lipstick: Toss separate lip balm and lipstick.

Replace with a tinted treatment stick.

WHY: You won't have to fumble through

your purse or makeup bag for two products.

It saves time and costs less.

Eye Shadow: Toss single-shade powder

eye shadows.

Replace with cream-shadow trio.

WHY: You'll have all the colors you need

in one convenient compact and it won't

crumble.

Until next time on.....

How To Apply A Makeup MAKEOVER!

Hi Ladies,

We all want to know how to

apply makeup, but have we ever thought

about when to toss makeup? The thing is,

even though most beauty products don't

have an expiration date, they DO go bad.

"So when do I toss them?" you ask.

I got you covered ladies, I found out...

Mascara: Toss it after 3-6 months

It's really important to change mascara

often. Air can push bacteria in the tube

and cause an eye infection.

Eyeliner: Toss it after 6 months

Even if you sharpen your eyeliner every

week to keep it fresh , bacteria can still

grow around the tip. You'll know it's

there when the pencil starts to crumble

as you are sharpening it.

Foundation: Toss it after 6 months

Water-based formulas last a few weeks

longer than oil-based ones.

Eye Shadow: Toss it after 9-12 months

Old shadows get chalky and hard to apply.

Blush: Toss it after 1-2 years

If your blush breaks, throw it out right away.

Do Not salvage the chunks they'll be hard

to blend and will look caked on.

Lip Sticks: Toss it after 2 years

Replace lipsticks earlier if you notice oil

beads on the side or the color looks different

when you apply it.

Happy Makeup Makeover!

How To Apply Makeup:

Your Perfect Match

Are you finding it hard to find the ideal makeup

shades for your skin tone? Well stop looking your

search is over. We gathered flattering, foolproof

makeup palettes for a range of skin colors with

the advice of experts!

IVORY SKIN

Color Cues

Eyes: You should use icy pastels. Dark eye

eye shadow can overwhelm pale complexions.

Cheeks: Tone down with a muted pink blush.

Lips: To prevent porcelain complexions

from looking washed out, you should use

Rosy pinks.

BEIGE SKIN

Color Cues

Eyes: Chocolate and navy add definition, but

avoid taupes. Taupes are too natural and

they tend to disappear into your skin.

Cheeks: So that you don't look too pasty,

warm your face up with a peachy blush.

Lips: You can have an overall healthy glow

by using yellow-based lip colors, like

melon and coral, these complement peachy

cheeks.

OLIVE SKIN

Color Cues

Eyes: Bring out warm, golden tones in your

skin with bronze and copper shadows.

Cheeks: You can counteract the yellow that

olive skin has in it with a bubble gum-pink

blush.

Lips: Try cool tones, like pale or raspberry

pink for a dramatic look. Hints of gold add

liveliness to an olive face.

BROWN SKIN

Color Cues

Eyes: Enhance eyes with rich blues and

plums and coppery metallics.

Cheeks: Choose a red or orange blush.

Intense colors show up better.

Lips: Matte lipstick looks painted on.

Deep lips look fabulous in just about any

shade, as long as its sheer or has a subtle,

golden shimmer.
